Case Study:
EMERGING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE PELAGIC FISHING INDUSTRY
Growth Strategy
We were commissioned to study the complex global supply chain for pelagic fish species like mackerel and herring, that are sold as inexpensive protein sources across Europe, former Soviet states, and Russia. We interviewed 18 experts from Eastern Europe, West Africa, and Scandinavia. The project examined trade flows and how key biological factors influence the buying patterns of traditional purchasers of these fish.
